ROLE SUMMARY: The Director of Corporate Relations will focus on building corporate support by securing financial contributions, partnerships, and sponsorships. The primary goal is to establish and maintain long-term mutually beneficial relationships between the Heroes Foundation and its Summit (and other) Partners.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Executive Director
CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- Identify, research, and engage potential corporate partners whose philanthropic priorities are aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships by leveraging networks and connections.
- Develop and nurture relationships with corporate decision-makers, including executives and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) teams, to understand their philanthropic goals and interests.
- Create compelling proposals that align with corporate partners’ goals and objectives.
- Prepare high-quality proposals, sponsorship packages, and partnership agreements.
FUNDRAISING STRATEGY AND EXECUTION:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive external fundraising strategy to achieve annual revenue goals.
- Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to attract corporate support.
- Utilize innovative approaches to diversify funding streams and maximize revenue potential.
STEWARDSHIP AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
- Cultivate long-term relationships with corporate partners, ensuring their ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
- Work closely with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding in all external communications materials.
- Develop and implement stewardship plans for key donors, including regular communication, recognition, and reporting on the impact of their support.
COLLABORATION AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COMMUNICATION:
- Collaborate with internal/external teams, including marketing, communications, and special events, to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.
- Communicate effectively with leadership, providing regular updates on fundraising progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven track record of successful corporate partnership development and fundraising in the nonprofit sector. 3-5+ years experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) trends and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of nonprofit best practices and culture.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database applications required.
- Bloomerang experience/knowledge a plus.
